The smell of cloying smoke carried over 200km this morning to alert authorities that a mysterious pile of debris was smoldering its way into the tundra. No casualties were reported, nor were any survivors on hand to explain the cause of the incident. If there had been tracks or footprints in the vicinity, a recent blizzard covered up any and all traces of such activity, leaving locals to ponder the enigmatic crater that just "appeared" overnight.
